Nothing much has happened in my neck of the world. I haven't done anything or hung out with anybody in a few weeks now. Well, nothing worthy of a journal post anyway. I've been walking around outside a lot lately. The weather has been nice. So I've been visiting the forest preserves in the area. It a little muddy and chilly, but I kinda like it like that. That means I get the place to myself. When you're all alone out there, its a nice way to clear your head.
Lately I've had the hardest time concentrating on anything for very long. Nothing has been able to keep my interest before I get bored and start doing something else. Its been terrible at work. I'll work on a project and get a brilliant idea for a design, but it'll only be for a small part of the page. I'll work on it in a frenzy, and it'll look great, but when I'm finished with that part, I'm at a loss on how to continue. My brain doesn't care anymore and is already thinking about something else.
On to something else, wheeee!!!
New Tool album coming out entitled 10,000 days, should be seeing it on the shelves on May 2nd
Ozzfest bands were announced on Thursday if anyone is interested
Main Stage:
Ozzy Osbourne (He's back and doing his solo stuff this year, meh, I can pass)
System Of A Down (Love their new album and they are great live, would love to see them again)
Disturbed (Not crazy about the music, but they put on a good show, I wouldn't go out of my way to see them)
Hatebreed (One of the big bands in the hardcore scene, I hate the singers voice, pass)
Lacuna Coil (I love Lacuna Coil, everyone says they are a evanescence copy cat band, but they've been around for a lot longer than evanescence. They put on a great show)
"Monster Energy" Second Stage Headliners:
Black Label Society (Zack, how many years in a row has it been now? I hate you and your band, get the fuck off the ozzfest tour and never come back, I'm sick of you)
Atreyu (Loud screamy, no sir, I don't like 'em)
Unearth (These guys are badass hardcore, good pick)
Bleeding Through (Another badass hardcore band. If unearth and bleeding through play back to back, forget about the rest of the show. I'll be too tired to see it)
Norma Jean (Never heard anything from them)
Second Stage: (Rotating Slots)
Walls Of Jericho
The Red Chord
A Life Once Lost
Strapping Young Lad (Holy shit! Prepare to have your face melted by the most aggressive metal ever)
All That Remains
Full Blown Chaos
Between The Buried And Me
I'd comment on the other bands, but most of them are disposable metal. Also, i was getting tired of writing about each band. Some good bands in there. I guess all that matters now is how much the tickets are. They've been going up in price every year, and if seats break 100 I'm passing.
Man, my Sunday has been filled with creepiness. I've been on a horror thing today. First I played through a bunch of silent hill 2, but counsel games can only hold my attention for so long. Even an excellent game like Silent Hill 2. Then I popped in Event Horizon and Alien. I love sci-fi horror and there aren't enough good movies in that genre. That put me in the mood for some Doom 3. That's a game that does so much right when it comes to sci-fi horror. The atmosphere is fantastic. I love walking down quiet hallways and you see bloody handprints or blood trails leading off somewhere. Its the implied violence that makes it so creepy. You don't see anyone getting torn apart, but you see evidence of something horrible. That's one of the reasons I liked System Shock 2 so much too. You see clues of violence everywhere, but you don't see it actually happen. The only thing you know is whoever was responsible is still near and looking for you.
Did you know they have these things now called sandwich bagels? They're thinner then regular bagels and square shaped. They're the best thing ever! Mmmmm, I needs to make myself a sammich. It's 10 though, it might be getting late for me to be munching on a big sandwich. I have to get up for work early and I don't need all that food sitting in me while I sleep.
*sigh*
I guess I'll just have to reluctantly wait until tomorrow to partake in the sandwich bagel.
Gah, I wanted to watch more of my Gundam discs but all the tv's have been taken over. I'm stuck watching whatever crap they have on, or stuck on my computer some more. Ugh, erg, aagh, I can't think of anything to do. Hey! When's St. Patrick's Day? That's coming up soon isn't it? I like that holiday. It's an excuse to get drunk and eat corned beef. Not necessarily in that order.
Yay, Angle by Massive Attack came on iTunes. I love that song...yeah, i think I'm gonna go. I'm just writing whatever pops into my head, and it'll degenerate into massive stupidity pretty soon.
Wow, I didn't used any emoticons in this post, what's up with that?
