Tyson ( my 7 year old) Has the FUCKING chickenpox!!!!! The crazy part of this is that I've never had them! Because I work in a hospital when I started they insisted that I get the vaccination. Well I did. Three freakin times!! I'm still not ammune to the chickenpox. They don't know why. ANyways back to my poor kid. Apparently there is a "wild" strain of chickpox going around here. So even if you have been vaccinated you can still get it. Because I'm 34 weeks pregnant I'm not pleased. I don't want to get the chickenpox,. ANd with the way things are going in the pregnancy I do not need another complication. As it is I've gone into preterm labor several times. I've been told to stay sitting or laying as much as possible for at least 3 more weeks. How on earth will I do that if I have to take care of 1 or 2 kids with the chickenpox? you know that Joy is going to get it too. I would leave if I thought that would help me not get it. But the incubation starts 2 days before the spots appear. SO WTF!? CAN ANYTHING ELSE HAPPEN!!???
UPDATE!!! SO we saw the doctor today and it's deffinately the chicken pox. (Joy calls them the chicken spots!) I think the doctor actually talked to Tyson for less than half and hour. But then she was really concerned about me being exposed to the chickenpox. We ended up being there for almost 3 HOURS because they wanted me to see my OB. So I saw her and there is a shot that can help suppress the symptoms of chickenpox. Unfortunately they don't use that form of med anymore. So there is nothing they can do to keep me from getting it. Unfortunately if I do get them I need to call them right away. THey said they would do an emergency C section. Apparently the chicken spots can be very very bad for infants. So if that happened he'd be early and sicky. I hope this doesn't happen.
