This has been one slow week. A few fun thinks work-wise, but nothing to write about, really. It's been so straight that I'm going to write about tonight's dinner. For dinner tonight I'm making roasted butternut squash soup. I First split the squash, and after cleaning, roast cut side down at 375 for 30 min. I then flip the squash, brush with olive oil, and continue to roast for an additional 30 min. During this final roast, I bring vegitable stock to temperature, adding fresh ginger and rosemary to infuse the flavor. This is strained and set aside. When the squash is ready, it is pealed and rough chopped, and added to the stockpot. Using my handy immersion blender, I slowly add the stock, and puree untill I get the consistancy that I like. I then re-season with salt and pepper to taste. With this I'm having a salad of mixed field greens, tossed with balsamic and olive oil. And a few Sierra Nevadas. And thats it. The highlite of my evening. If this sounds boring, it isn't, as cooking is as much an artform to me as music, if not more so. But it does make for dull reading, so hopefully( for you, the reader) something good happens tomorrow. Cheers. And to the guy who outbid me on the Jerry Nolan 7", fuck you!

Even I wouldn't pay that much for Jerry Nolan's single. I actually have those songs on CD. It's on that Manhattan Mayhem CD (NY Dolls, of course). I just got another Hellacopters bootleg VHS, with a bunch of footage from Euro TV that pre-dates "Payin' the Dues". Cool shit, but lo-fi. Got a Backyard Babies bootleg. Haven't watched that yet. Just been groovin' on New Bomb Turks and Adam West the past few days. Hope you have a good weekend.

Hey, I'm all about the vinyl too, but there are some things I'm just not rich enough to own on vinyl, or it simply no longer exists in that format. Vinyl does sound better though. Hope you have a weekend. Mine just went belly up. I'm so fuckin' pissed right now.
