My Favorite customer came in the store this weekend. He is an old man.......baffled by technology (you know the type). He came in about 3 months ago because his cd player "had a cd stuck in it"........ok.......(btw....I'm a mobile electronics installer)
He tells me that he tried for TWO HOURS to get the cd out of the player, but it just won't come out. I walked out to his car and of course press the eject button........nothing comes out. I can hear the gears turning inside, the CD player says "EJECT" on the screen but nothing comes out. I try to listen to the "stuck" cd..........nothing happens. After about 1 min. I ask the kindly old gent if he has another cd to try, he does. I put the cd in and it goes in no problem......and plays..... Diagnosis?.......NO CD IN THE CD PLAYER!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA and he tried for TWO HOURS to get the non-existant cd out of the player. Wow, old people are funny.
So he comes in yesterday and says that his CD player is "Eating" CD's. He says that sometimes it doesn't want to take a cd and when it does, they go in and don't come out. ok.... so I go take a look. He tells me that you can still put CD's in the player and they will play....but the old ones won't come out. I put a cd in and it plays fine. with a sneaking suspision I take his dash apart and remove the cd player. behind the deck was a small stack of cd's. apparentlly this old man had been sticking cd's in-between the top of the cd player and the dash......NOT IN THE CD SLOT!!!! Mystery solved! I got a laugh out of it......and he got his George Jones CD back.
I wish every customer would come in with problems like that!
Still waiting on the pig pickin' pictures! but they are coming soon. keep those fingers crossed!!!
