While working this evening, my mood was brightened by the sight of several hundred people in Santa suits being dispersed by cops outside of some establishment on the corner of Geary and Hyde. Could this have been the infamous Santacon? There were young Santas, old Santas, female Santas, leather Santas and for some reason a couple of them thought my car was a cab. I had to point out that the luminescent sign atop was advertising a pizza company, not a taxi service. After work, I sped down to Daly City to meet with the other SGSFers at the Serra Bowl for the annual non-denominational holiday celebration. Good times were had by all... or at least it appeared that way from the exterior. I am uncertain if anyone used their bodies as vessels of lies. Afterward the crowd met at Delirium for drinks and impromptu sing along to alternative crowd-pleasing hits of the 80's. Odette made a bizarre yet enthralling antlered beetle out of beer coasters, while I proceeded to explain the semantics behind my screen name and how while it visibly changed for a while, it was merely symbolic and was always pronounced the same. The explanation must have been too much to soak in at the time, as Odette stared blankly and unimpressed, got up and left. That was ok. I had more pressing conversations to tend to, like my debate with BoxOfficePoison over who was more punk, Elvis Costello of Billy Idol. We settled on Elvis Costello and the world has that much more resolution because of it. I cut out early because I have much to do tomorrow. I only have so much time now in which to wrap this up and get to sleep before my buzz wears off so I will leave you with the shittily taken photograph of the Santa brigade taken with my camera phone.
Goodnight.

boxofficepoison:
Santa though, more punk than either Elvis Costello or Billy Idol.

I always thought Santa was like the chairmen Mou; A red communist marxxist who forces political disident elves to work in his toy shop. That was always my take at least.
