I just got back from playing a fairly positive show. 100% homegrown Rock N' Roll. I think I got a little too excited mid-solo on one of our songs, because I ended up leaping on top of a precariously balanced monitor. The monitor wobbled and toppled over, I (without missing a beat) toppled with it, landing the small of my back on the corner of the speaker and distributing most of the impact in to my left wrist. I writhed on the floor, still without missing a note, launched back on to my feet and proceeded to finish the set as if nothing happened. For the rest of the show I never really properly regained my balance, so I kind of stumbled this way and that, most likely looking fairly loaded, but it sounded huge. It seemed as if the audience thought I did it on purpose and according to some post show feedback, it looked fucking badass. In the end isn't that all that really matters? So I'm pretty sure I sprained my wrist. I'm writing this one handed as the other rests on a bag of frozen vegetables. All of my joints ache when I move.
Hail Hail Rock N' Roll.
Hail Hail Rock N' Roll.
