Heaven forbid, I'm not a Police fan. I suppose that's ok since it's not 1984 anymore and Sting decided "The telephone is screaming" was his personal epoch of pop music and could therefore go the rest of his days polluting the mainstream with crap, self-indulgent, pseudo eclectic world music. ::End Rant:: Anyway, somehow throughout the years I acquired a copy of Synchronicity, which I dusted off today and proceeded to play at 45. I was only able to get through side B (In my book it is a blatant show of disrespect to listen to side B first, unless of course you already listened to side A prior within the last 24 hours.) but I think I may have discovered a new sound (much like playing DEVO at 45 sounds almost exactly like the Polysics) Q: Is this sound worth pursuing? A: Probably not. Q: Is it worth using as a slightly obscured pop culture reference in a movie scene? A: If Sting doesn't sue me.
