So my band played possibly the last show with my good friend and guitar player Nick. He's going to Europe indefinitely, which means he could be back in the month or never. We played with a band from Portland called "One Day War". They were very cookie-cutter punk rock. I think they tried to avoid talking to us after we played. Maybe it was the USSR policemens uniform I wore, or the fact that we played our last song for about 15 minutes (until the club pulled the plug). There isn't very much middle ground oppinion when it comes to our band, people either love us or think were all horrible jerks. I think the show went pretty well for the most part though. For how many people were totally repelled by us, there was probably and equal amount who came up to us afterward and expressed their appreciation of what we do. Our guitar player is pretty unique and not easily replaceable, so I was thinking instead of getting a new guitar player, we might get a keyboardist. It was really fun drawing out our last song for ever. It was even more fun listening too all the people complaining about how it's probably going to be in their heads all night. The P.A. kind of sucked, so my vocals sounded really weird, but if anything it just added to our cacaphony. Someone was taking pictures of us while we were playing too, that was interesting. Lord knows none of the music publications will touch us with a 10 foot pole. So I'm going to go to bed now. Ive got to get up early and drive to Oregon in the morning.
