I know I just started a journal here, but here's briefly what's been going on.
I'm an adult living at home with my parents earning my associates degree until next fall when I'll be transfering to San Francisco State University. Approximately two or two-and-a-half months ago, my dad found out that my mom was having an affair with a drunk, homeless man she met at work named George. Since then, life in this house has been incredibly hard.
About a week after he found out, my mom went to see her mother in Oregon to think about her relationship with her husband. About three days into the trip, my father found a phone call a day prior to her departure on the phone bill to a city called Mentone. George lives there on some guy's porch. We later discovered that night that my mom had grown the ball's to take her boyfriend up there on my dad's dime while she was supposed to be reflecting on things.
Since then, we've found out several occasions that she's continued to see George despite her promise to cut off relations.
My mom and dad reached a decision a few weeks ago that my mom would go to live with her mother a few months (or indefinately) to get away from the two men in her life. Approximately a week from now she'll be gone.
About two weeks ago my dad poured bleach into our pond in the backyard which contained about ten beautiful, gigantic koi fish. The pump had broken and they didn't want to take care of them any more. A few days ago they emptied the pond, took all of the half-alive plants off the front porch away and emptied the side yard.
It's like this house is tied to the lives of my parents. My house is dying just like they are.
They spend their days now watching music videos and smoking a lot of weed and doing a lot of talking and laughing. It's disgusting because it's all just their way of trying to hide all of the intense hurt and seventeen years of living in the hollow of the love they had once a long, long time ago. I certainly can't remember it.
Happy New Year.

I have to say, that's pretty fucking sad Sorry to hear you have to deal with that right now. Oh and thanks for the comment, Berdoo is not the ideal place to grow up, that's for sure We are, after all, the murder champions of the state. But you know this right? You're just around the corner. Actually you are probably the closest person that I've met here. I haven't found very many people from the IE. So it's nice to meet you Sorry this isn't in Japanese. English will have to suffice. Oh, and Happy New Year, late.....
