blah. boredom has been a big theme in my life these past couple days. soooo much sitting around doing absolutely nothing. either that, or homework.
so as much as i like my film classes, there are soooo many pretentious motherfuckers in there. i love to make movies. i love to watch movies even more. but these people in my classes are just so goddamn condesending and annoying. i've been involved in three movies already. albiet, not the most professional of films, and certainly not the most serious, but it's experience none-the-less. movies that have been shown to a good amount of people and in film festivals that got great responces. i know what i like, and i know how to do it.
these fucking people need to lighten up and realize, yes movie making is an art form, but it's also alot of fun. you shouldn't take every second of it so seriously, otherwise it's just gonna become another job for you to hate. and i realize that some movies are heavy on the symbolism, but jesus h. christ, some movies are just there to entertain you! i hardly think that the makers of certain teen comedies were trying to say something with their movies, aside from, "hey, laugh at this stuff, will ya?" if i'm trying to say something with my movies, well then bully for me, but if i'm not then who cares?! i take movies really seriously, but i have the common sense to calm down once and a while and just realize how much fun it can be to do this. more people should just do the same. calm the fuck down, people.
just go to the movie, have a good time, but don't overanalyze it until you can't enjoy it for what it is.
