well, somewhat busy as of late. wednesday night my dad walks in and says,
"Hey, you want a job for the weekend?"
"Well, that depen-"
"Good, you start tomorrow at 4."
that was the extent of our conversation. next thing i know, i'm selling tickets in a booth for carnival rides at a local festival. could have been worse though. the pay was great, and the booth was air conditioned. and also, i got to stare at carnies all day. that was... colorful, i guess you could say. the food kind of sucked though for a relatively well-known italian food festival. oh well, i gots my money and that's fine by me.
i had the day off on saturday and was gonna go to Slay-a-thon, but found out Hexe couldn't make it, so i decided to skip it. didn't want to go alone, and i was mostly using it as an excuse to hang out with her again, cause it's been quite a while since i've seen her. Hexe, if you're reading this, organize the zoo trip as fast as you can please.
Tom came back from michigan after three weeks today. good to have him back. watched some red vs blue on dvd and then Amy came over and we went to see Anchorman. it's great that tom and amy are going out and i love em both, but man is it awkward when two of your best friends are dating. i mean, before they were going out, everything was normal, but now i always feel like the epitome of the term "3rd wheel" when i'm around them. especially when they just sit there and don't talk and there's all sorts of tension and weirdness and i just feel like i'm in the way. oh well, i'm sure things will work out.
anyways, Anchorman was ok. it definitely had it's moments. i'll get the dvd. speaking of...
now that i have a bunch of cash, i need to decide what to get at best buy. I know i'm gonna get the new Hives cd, but i'm deliberating what else to get. i have a couple things in mind and need to narrow it down:
- Pawn Shoppe Heart by The Von Bondies
- Reno 911, the Complete First Season
- Futurama Volume 3
- Enter the Dragon
- Jackie Chan's Project A
what does everyone else think?
