The Comicon is a great oppurtunity to view the inherent duality of humankind. All around you, you will see Dragons and Jedis and Superheroes in all their glory... walking proudly among mere mortals... stopping occasionally to pose for photgraphs.... on their way to get a cheese pretzel at the food court.
It's just majestic!
Now before someone dumps on me for making fun I must say that several times in my life I have been that dude... dressed as The Crow... trying to get my cell phone out of my front pcket without the electrical tape on my arms giving me a free but painful waxing....
The one thing I don't understand is the people who are all dressed up... BUT... they look miserable! What is going on?
You are at a place where you can walk around dressed as Gandalf's boyfriend and not only will people not beat you up... they'lll smile and wave! So why do these folks shuffle around like they are walking from their computer to the fridge ...one...last...time...
I'd feel bad for them but I'm too busy being puzzled!
If you go to the Comicon or The Fangoria Convention or any of the Sci-fi cons do us all a favor.... If you're gonna dress up! Get into character! We'll love you for it... You big weirdo!
I don't need to see a Narcoleptic Capt. America or a Predator with clinical depression.
On a really really really really positive note.... I met Bruce Campbell and not only is he hilarious and friendly... It looks like there's a strong possibility we will work together sometime soon. Which is of course.... ahem... COOL!
Cheers,
Hal
P.S. I wore my SG shirt for my fan signing and took like 300 pictures... what kinda SG points do I get for that do ya think? probably enough for a sticker!

My fiancee was also at the comic con. He is an artist. I think they seperated the artists from the actors and whatnot.
