Don't do P90X with a hang over. Trust me.
P90X
I tried to today and while I managed to struggle through it, it wasn't fun. Not one tiny little bit. That said, I did go, and that is an accomplishment. Or punishment. Maybe torture. I'm still not sure.
Why was I hungover? Birthday shots. Not my birthday, but my good friend Goubi. His lady threw him a massive surprise party last night and that invariably led to birthday shots. Lots of them. Ugh. It was a pretty good time, too. By 3:30 AM, of course, I was drunk texting K on WhatsApp.
Thankfully, she was amused and pretty patient. I think I must apologized about 6 times for being drunk, which I suppose isn't so bad. When I listened to the messages this morning, though, I did cringe a bit. Drunk texting. Someone please take my phone from me already.
New Phone?
Speaking of phones, I'm thinking about picking up the new Galaxy 4. Kuwait just got the LTE network installed in country and I want fast Internet on my phone, so I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and upgrade. Of course, I really don't want to spend more money on a phone, but seeing I'm moving back to the U.S. at the end of this year, it's something I should probably do anyway. I'm not going to be out here forever. And because there's no penalties on canceling my plan with Zain, I'll be able to do so with little too no fees. I'll still have to cover device cost, but that's not a big deal.
Mind's Eye Vampire Re-launch
I don't know if any of you are vampire fans, but if you are (and you liked the LARP for Vampire), you should probably know that Mind's Eye is re-launching the line via a Kickstarter. While I haven't played in years, I decided to back it because of the nostalgia involved (I met one of my dearest friends playing VtM in my early 20s). Plus, there will be cool new pins for the clans. And I'm a HUGE fan of the Clan Setitie pin.
I pledged up to get the black leather hardbound, which I think will be pretty awesome.
Speaking of pledging.....
Operation: Save Cash
...is moving along as planned, but I'm really going to need to tighten up my budget over the next few months. While I'm still going to be in my target savings range for moving home by August 1st, I'd really like to save more. Thankfully, I'm slated to receive a 5% raise, across the board, on August 1st, so that will help. Extra money never hurts, that's for sure.
I think my biggest struggle is going to be going home in August. I always spend a lot of money when I'm home on vacation, but I'm going to work on being thrifty. I'm still going to splurge on a few things (namely, K, because she's awesome), but otherwise, I'm going to keep things simple.
That's about it, right now. I really hope everyone out in SG Land is doing well.
EDIT:
I almost forgot. THIS song is rocking my world at the moment, mostly because of the pounding piano. It's deep, dark, and the video doesn't hurt, either.
