holy crap, it's been a month since i updated this thing. well, tomorrow (or, more correctly, later today) i'm flying to pensacola for the school... should be alright, particularly since i'll have a friend down there. i have mad painting to catch up on, since i have a warhammer tournament to take part in at the end of the month. my army is only half painted, but it shouldn't take too long, i know what i need to do and i have a breakneck schedule to keep up with. as far as personal news, i'm kind of out of the loop. i don't go out much anymore, trying to save money and all. mortgages put a crimp in the plans, especially when you don't have enough money to pay them. 
other than that, my coffee pot has burned out. again. apparently the switch didn't think it was off, despite the "off" position it was set to. i came home to a sickly sweet stench, and the first thought was "oh, god, what's rotted?" i dismissed this, however, as i realized i had no food in my apartment to rot. then i saw the coffee pot, and it looked like a creme brulee gone horribly, horribly wrong. *sigh* that'll mean a trip to walmart for a new one, since a life without coffee is a life half lived. or half awake, whatever.
anywho, i bought my tickets to san diego on independence air... should be fairly entertaining. i wanted to try something new, as for the last four years or so i've been flying southwest. nothing wrong with southwest, you understand, it's just a question of whether or not i want to subsist solely on peanuts and oreos on a 5-6 hour flight with no movie. actually, the oreos part doesn't sound so bad... <homer simpson voice> mmm... oreos.... </homer simpson voice>
downloaded a bunch of Rob Dougan songs today, on Limewire. Yay piracy!
i dig his instrumental stuff, particularly furious angels. good song, that.
and now we know i've run out of interesting things to say. the reason i've been so out of it lately is because i've been playing far too much City of Heroes - i swear it's sucking the soul out from my very eyes. though if anyone who reads this plays, stop by the victory server and look for a hero called 'empty set' - that's me. my other characters include 'arc wielder,' 'the atomic devil,' and 'the valet driver.'
