Wednesday arrives, cold and rainy...
Ok, so it's not really cold, but the rainy part still holds true. I finished book V of the Dark Tower series yesterday, and I'm starting VI today. Other than that, I recently discovered that everything I've been teaching to my kids at school has been wrong. Well, not necessarily wrong, just not the right curriculum. Now it's time to play some wicked catch-up.
Finally feel like I've recovered from the Fashion Show - before last night, I hadn't been to bed before 3 am since about 5 days ago. This Friday my hot date is going to be the Miller girls and a bellydancing show in Rhode Island. Should be fairly entertaining - my friend Renee has just learned a sword dance, and that combined with her new costume should be something worth seeing.
I'm still struggling to get all my stuff together for grad school. I did receive my undergrad transcript yesterday, so that was nice - kind of scary though - I had forgotten that I only earned two A's while I was there. One was in an english course about Dante's Divine Comedy and the other was in a Western Civ course. Hopefully they ignore the engineering courses I was forced to take when considering my aptitude for U Mass Dartmouth's Professional Writing program.
Is there a decent site for meeting people online (other than this one, of course)? I feel like I've tapped out all my resources in that regard lately.
Also: hooray, internet! I finally got hooked up at home - it involved running a 50 ft phone line from my front room into my bedroom, but I finally have dial-up service, since DSL isn't in my area yet.
