Chicago was a blast. Saw many cool bands. Undisputed highlight was definitely The Jesus Lizard. It's no wonder they were my favorite live band from back in the day. Chicagoans are swell people, but warning to self:do not start debates about LOTR or Star Wars when drinking with fellow geeks. Arguments will be heated and last all night because neither side will make concessions. Must get more than 5 hours of sleep.

i try not to get into nerdy debates at any time, especially re: star wars. since i'm more of a trekkie, my star wars loving buddies and i know not to even go there. we just respect each other's nerdy choices.
