This weekend was pretty fun. I only worked one day this week due to me being on vacation in Idaho until Thursday, so that was cool. Next week is going to suck though.
Friday night started out with me and my roommate taking her son to go see Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Honestly, this was the first Harry Potter movie I had ever seen. I was pretty surprised that I hadn't slapped anyone while waiting for my roommate to show up to the theater. I've never been around Harry Potter fans or crowds before so, it was overwhelming I guess.
After that, I was whisked away to the Twilight for drinks. That was fun, as is usual for the Twilight. It was especially fun because I hadn't hung out with friends for like a week, so that was nice.
Saturday was a day of many interesting sites. Me and Ross went to get lunch at our favorite, and possibly the best Thai Restuarant in the world if not Seattle, Mae Phem. The food was exceptionally great that day. I swear there is no better meal than the chicken cashew! Absolutely supburb!
I then was forced to witness the horror that is Hooters. Yes, I have never been to one of these establishments before that, and I was completely freaked the entire time.....I think the shorts were what was freaking me out. I don't know. I felt like I was in a commercial that I couldn't escape. I never want to go back there. What was I doing there? Well, my roommate invited me down to watch the Stanley cup game with some of her friends from work. Everyone else at the table loved the place and it wasn't there first time. They didn't understand why I wasn't digging the place. "If they ain't got tattoos, I'm not really interested in looking at them" was my response. Each one looked like they belonged in a sorority. Whatever.
From there, the night of plastic women didn't end....we then went to a place called Jillians. More plastic looking sorority girls. No individual flavor at all in that place. Next.
We finally ended up at a club called the NOC NOC. It was industrial fetish night. It was actually quite tame, but it was great to watch from the sidelines and watch a lot of drunk goth boys and girls "dance". I kept thinking about that South Park episode where stan has to form a dance squad and the goth kids show him how they dance. It was great. I know it sounds close minded, but some goth kids who take themselves way too serious just make giggle...I can't help it. I know it's rude, but I can't help it....I mean no disrespect though honestly.
Anyway....I did nothing today. I was going to clean, but my roommate beat me to it.
I must find a second job. I must also get my transcripts from AIS, fill out my application for school, and talk to someone at the bank about extended my school loan amounts. Those are my missions for the week. hopefully I will get them done. Pray for me ya'll.
Because I could not stop for Death--
He kindly stopped for me--
The Carriage held but just Ourselves--
And Immortality.
We slowly drove--He knew no haste
And I had put away
My labor and my leisure too,
For His Civility--
We passed the School, where Children strove
At Recess--in the Ring--
We passed the Fields of Gazing Grain--
We passed the Setting Sun--
Or rather--He passed Us--
The Dews drew quivering and chill--
For only Gossamer, my Gown--
My Tippet--only Tulle--
We paused before a House that seemed
A Swelling of the Ground--
The Roof was scarcely visible--
The Cornice--in the Ground--
Since then--'tis Centuries--and yet
Feels shorter than the Day
I first surmised the Horses Heads
Were toward Eternity

Yea I know she's kind of a typical poet that people like, but I really like this poem; have since seventh grade.
