.............Tired..............................................Woke up at 6 this morning because I had to commute four hours from Idaho Falls to Boise and then hop on a plane to get back to Seattle. For those of you have never gotten to experience the commute from I.F. to Boise, let me tell you, it is the most boring drive....well probably not ever, but damn close. There is nothing to see except flat farm land, desert, and then volcanic type rock formations. The scenery is pretty much flat for the majority of the drive.....it is just boring. Luckily, it seemed to go by pretty quick. I drove down with my mother, and we had some pretty good conversations along the drive, so that was cool. I like seeing my folks.
I did end up seeing my friend Josh while I was down there. Thankfully, he didn't spend the whole time dredging up shit like I thought he was. He only did that a coupel times; other than that it was just like hanging out like back in the day...bullshitting about movies, music, and whatnot. Although, he did get to put in his one final stab at me, which he did quite smoothly, I must say. He tells me that the one thing he was pissed about the night he left, was that I was the only one who didn't really try to talk him out of leaving....and that if I had, then maybe, JUST MAYBE, he may have stayed and kept playing music with us and all that. So you know, basically it was my fault for not trying hard enough. My retort, was that I ain't apologizing for shit, and that I have no reason to justify anything I did that night. Whatever.
damn I'm tired.....Next week I travel down to San Francico to pick up the car that my brother is giving me. I'm will be rolling in classic 80's buttrock style with my DATSUN 280ZX baby! Oh Yea! With the T top no less! Hell yea! Personally I can't picture myself driving this car....I always imagined me more in a 67 ot 68 Shelby Mustang Cobra or something like that.....but hey, it's free.
"A Poison Tree
I was angry with my friend:
I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe;
I told it not, my wrath did grow.
And I water'd it in fears,
Night & morning with my tears;
And I sunned it with my smiles
And with soft deceitful wiles.
And it grew both day and night,
Till it bore an apple bright;
And my foe beheld it shine,
And he knew that it was mine,
And into my garden stole
When the night had veil'd the pole:
In the morning glad I see
My foe outstretch'd beneath the tree"
-William Blake
That's one of my favorite poems.
