Ok so here we are at Friday....
It's been a long week for everyone, Hell a long 4 years with an ugly 4 ahead of us. And that speaks to all regardless of what side of the fence you sit on. Everyone has seen their political and social ideas put to the most grueling of tests. It is my fervent hope that each and every one of us do some re-evaluating and a little soul searching. Now more than ever it is time for each of us to stand up for what we believe in. If you have an ideal, strive for it. If you have a protest, sing it in the streets. This is the flip side of democracy folks, it's ugly underbelly. Once you know where you stand it's up to you to marshall your forces and MAKE yourself heard.
Don't wait for your elected officials to take a stance, put them in their places and remind them of the most important fact of their careers - THEY WORK FOR YOU! If they don't think so then it's time to convince them.
I won't tell anyone how to make their mark, but with 200+ years and counting of history in the little place we call America I think we've had some pretty outstanding examples, from one end of the spectrum to the other. Pick your tasks and hop to it. Don't let ANYONE tell you that you can't do it!
And please do ignore the comments from both sides about "This is the time Americans need to be united". That is utter and complete BULLSHIT! That's not democracy, that obeisance to ones masters. Democracy involves getting enough people on one train of thought to say, "This is how it's going to be, the rest of you get on or get out". Majority rules is EXACTLY how that works. But keep your brains about you, might does not make right. If you aren't standing on truths the feet of the statue will crumble. The idol will tip and fall.
Don't believe me, watch the news over the next year and see what happens. It won't be long folks, change is on the way, let's try to steer it in the right direction.

Kerry was no good from the beginning, Bush wasn't either, and this country will never be united. I take that back, this country won't be united until Bush lets another major tragedy occur.
