Hey! How is everyone? I've gotta say my day has been pretty sweet. Not only did I find out I've got another week of vacation coming my way this year, but I just heard that Virgin Festival is now heading to Toronto. This summer's fest was originally scheduled for Burl's Creek Park (aka the middle of nowhere), but thanks to poor ticket sales it's now coming to the Molson Amphitheatre instead. It looks like I'll be able to catch Nine Inch Nails one last time after all!
Besides NIN headlining the Virgin Fest, there are a tonne of great bands coming to town in the next couple of months too. So far I've got my tickets for Marilyn Manson, Angelspit/KMFDM, Every Time I Die, Placebo and Metric. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up a ticket for NIN on Saturday. VFest is the same weekend as Fan Expo though so I just hope I'm not exhausted by the time Sunday night rolls around.
Speaking of Fan Expo, there's only two weeks to go until this year's show! Should be good times as always. Here's a link to the offical site for anyone thinking of going. Strangely enough I recently realized this will be the 15th year I've attended the convention. Craziness.
15 years of Fan Expo (formerly Canadian National Comic Book Expo)
I'm looking forward to catching up with some of the local girls at the SG booth again this year. I was lucky enough to hang out with a few lovely SGs and members at the Canada East Gala a few weeks back as well. I've wanted to hit up the Gala for a few years now but this was the first time I actually made it out. The venue was kinda small but the party had a very interesting mix of people and overall it was a great night. Winning the 50/50 draw didn't hurt either

There's another Jager Dirty Dozen party happening at Tattoo Rock Parlour tomorrow night but I've got a birthday party to go to unfortunately. I'm sure it will be a great night anyway. On Saturday I'll be hitting the monthly meet up for bubbles and bikes. Fun, fun. Hopefully I'll see some of you there. Later!
