Just in time to receive the shiny new nano - yaaaaa. I think I might start playing more open mic nights, the last one I did was so much fun! I just love the nervous excitement beforehand - I think its actually scarier than playing with the whole band, being all alone and all... Must do that more often... my favorite song this week is:

However, they still do have the safest crosswalks I've ever seen: (1) they chirp at you when it's safe to walk, (2) the east-west crosswalks chirp differently than the north-south crosswalks, (3) when the red "don't walk" sign starts flashing, it tells you how many seconds you have left to cross the street (that kinda stresses me out), and (4) on the pavement, there are big signs saying LOOK with arrows pointing to the direction(s) the traffic is coming.
But I really wish they had flags. I was hoping to appropriate one for my own, um, safety, back home. (maybe that's why they got rid of them . . . )
