Been unhealthy most of my life as well. Had my slap in the face about seven weeks ago. Clothes tighter, belts had to increase size on the holes, constant heartburn, tired all the time, and didn't eat breakfast at all for about five years.
In the past seven weeks, I now have a subscription to Men's Health, have the Big Book of Exercises, Big Book of Nutrition both by Men's Health, and the 2011 Fitness Guide by MH. All of them have changed my life. Last week, I started eating breakfast again. I wake up early EVERY day and eat a big healthy breakfast full of protein, fiber, potassium, low in fat. I eat everything (or try) non fat, low fat, low sodium, organic. Switched to skim milk. Cut out sodas on Jan. 1 of this year. Not a single one since. I have a cycling bike...an actual road cycling bike, free weights, workout bench, workout mat, and more.
The big thing that hit me came from Netflix. Watching Food Inc. and Food Matters. Those combined and Men's Health have changed my life. The way I see it, diets don't work. Diets are temporary. Lifestyle changes DO work. And that's what I've done. Changed my lifestyle. I have too much to live for. And so does everyone here. I couldn't be happier with how I am now. And can't wait to see more results.
I'm now about to head out and buy a new workout bench. The one I bought was a bit cheap. So I'm going to go get a heavy duty one that will last me years right now. I can't wait to be able to share pictures with you all. And if any of you need any advice on anything, I'd be happy to help. And all you ladies, I strongly recommend Women's Health. Life changers. I'm telling you.
