turns out my kid was up for a good reason last night at quarter to midnight: diarrhea. And ironically enough, it just happend to be his first night sleeping up on his new loft bed - so the poor kid had to climb up and down the ladder about 4 times to make a mad dash to the toilet before I figured out that perhaps it might be easier for him if I put him on my temporary bed underneath his... where the hell is my head these days? soon after I snuggled up with him and held him til he fell asleep. Then I woke up at 4am and didn't realize it was 4 am until I got on the computer and said hello to mr. Slow and looked at the clock. I was so out of it. Konked out again and woke up at 8am.
I think I have insomnia. Must be an adjustment thing...
so and so and so and so... I know I've been making a string of entries in this journal about nothing but my move and the new place, but this is a BIG thing for me. A turning point of sorts. And I have to say, I feel good here. I like it. Despite my fears about this being a mistake, it's good. I've posted a few pics this morning of the new pad in its near-complete, soon-to-be-updated-with-new-shit-after-I-get-paid state. Take a look-see. and please refrain from making fun of my gay-ass pj pants (I bought them for the entertainment of my kid, and they're comfy, damn it! Oh, and also please refrain from poking fun at my zebra-print office chair (to each his/her own) - my buddies all had a field-day with it when I got it originally - hey man, at least it aint leopard).
I'll also be posting some new pix today from a little mini-visit to Harbourfront yesterday with Deezaster and the kids. The sky and the sunlight were gorgeous - made for some great photos. We kept trying to get a group pic of the mamas and boys, but those two little gremlins were like house-bound prisoners released for the first time, running around like they've never seen the outdoors before. Here's the closest thing to a group pic I could get. I actually like it ...I love that girl, Dee... seriously
ok, over and out. yet another fluffy giant-ass entry.
