I'M DOOMED!!
Yes, thats right...doomed. Money wise, time wise...just plain doomed. I've been getting over this dreaded cold for one thing. I also have so much to do this semester and not enough time to do it. This is worse than any other semester yet. I have an exam on Monday and I really need to get crackin on this thesis. I have the GRE's at the end of the month. Other homework type stuff in between. Trying to get home and other places to visit with people (home for everyone, Alicia, Dave and Andrea, Cassie....) Never mind that by the time its the weekend I'm about ready to collapse anyway. I have the Irish show and parents weekend next weekend. Math open house is at the end of the semester as well and I need to find someone to help me out with that.
And so I just had my dad put $620 from my savings to my checking so I can pay off the Polo team and my credit card bill. Which leaves me with a little too less to give my dad for horse back lessons for this semester. And my savings, from all summer, is gone. I am putting about $100 in my checking account and thats all I have to my name. And I'm only tutoring 2 hours a week now which is going to make me nothing. So I have no way to save up for books, polo or riding for next semester. Joy. I'm going to be asking for a class ring, riding stuff for xmas. I would like to ask for a digital camera for xmas but 1) we dont have enough money and 2) my mom has wanted one way longer than me and that would just be rude to ask for since she doesnt have one yet. Oh yeah, then I have my speeding ticket to pay off which will be like $300. Fucking NY. Its like $60 in Maine or something. Stupid state.
Not to mention application fees for grad schools. All of which are like $60/$70. I need to start buying powerball tickets stat.
Speaking of grad schools I was just looking them up online (and they are the main reason I'm writing this).
1) Thinking about applying to schools AGAIN is killing me. I've been doing it everyother year for the past four years
2) It means GRE's are coming up and I'm going to have to send out my scores.
3) I don't have time to apply (and get letters of recommenations out).
4) Its going to be 6 years of my life
5) I'm scared as hell I will fail
6) All the schools in the area that have Ph.D's in math are or are almost Ivys. Yeah...like I can get into those (doomed) Theres a couple state schools at least...
Here's the list that I will need to be narrowing down. I must talk to my advisor very soon.
