And now, a slightly amusing anecdote:

I just got back from the Taco Bell drive-thru. I had Roxanne with me, she's my Doberman Pinscher. (Yes, she was named after the Police song.) After handing me my food, the guy passed me an orange dog biscuit and said, "you can either save this for dessert, or give it to the doggie" and laughed, and then told me to have a great night.

It wasn't until after I got home that I realized that could have been an insult.
