Staying single, man- fuck it! I tried with this girl, Heather. She's really nice, and the first person in ages that's actually showed an interest....and pursued it. But, she's 20 and still in college, and quite a bit inexperienced in a lot of things. I didn't think all that would matter, but it really did. The more time we spent together, the more I just wanted to be her friend, and the more uncomfortable I got when she wanted a kiss or anything intimate. What really sucks is that I know how she feels, too, because I've been on the other end so many times. It sucks to be into someone and not have the feelings be mutual. But, I can't lie about not being attracted to someone that way. Anyway, we've talked about it and she doesn't hate me. There was no sex involved, thankfully. I know she's disappointed, but it's not like we're staying away from each other- we will still hang out (in public, of course, with other people around). I wish I could find someone with similar interests, who is also closer to my age, experienced, independent and responsible. It's hard- really hard. My plate's pretty full anyway.
Whew. Got that off my chest.
Last weekend, I played for 'Mischief Brew' and got to open, again, for World Inferno. It's always incredible opening for them, especially because all the same kids are really into Mischief Brew (mostly just Erik) and know all the words. This weekend, I played with Red Devil- MY main band- and opened for Stinking Lizaveta. If you don't know SL, they are an incredible instrumental trio from Philadelphia who've been playing for like 12 years. Yanni, the guitarist, also teaches at the Rock School- crazy ass Paul Green's rock school in Phila (check out the movie if you haven't seen it, it's insane.) After that gig, which I got home at 4 a.m., we played on WKDU Sunday night. Needless to say, I called in a sub today. Besides, our school concerts for the spring are coming in another week, so I'm ready to puke from exhaustion. In a district of 12,000, it's a big concert season.
So, I could be looking at two tours this summer- two different bands....not much of a summer. I'll never get my masters! I also realized that I haven't updated my favorite suicide girls. And you know what?? I'm not going to, HAHA! I don't feel the need to pick any favorites, because there are far too many beautiful and interesting women here. I cannot pick so many favorites.
If you haven't before, scroll down to the last journal and check out my MAIN band.
