-This journal entry was originally an email to a friend of mine, but even if you don't know the names of the people or towns referred to, it doesn't matter. After reading over it to proofread it, it seemed to me like a perfect journal entry.
"It's amazing to know that you still have the ability to surprise yourself." Sometimes I go running back to my grandma (kulp)'s house, as that ignorant little kid giving himself in to the safe clutches of the snappy Italian grandma's home. Gen's house reminds me of that part of my life which has long been gone.
A close cousin from my mom's side, Carin, got married recently- but down south. So, she and her new husband had their party for the family tonight in West Chester. We all had a good time, and I danced with an un-believably attractive young woman that was a good friend of my cousin's. The night rolled on and the entertainer (one of my uncle's clients- my uncle owns a business that gives bands and performers promo packs and gigs) was a 'right off the boat' Italian. He played a lot of traditional Italian wedding stuff- sort of out of place, as this is the Lebanese side of my family, and it was in a Mexican restaurant. I watched this girl and her friend, and as the night went on, and started to think of- and miss (oh my)- Genevieve. I was also partly thinking of what high lives these nicely-shined, high priced girls must live, and my heart just felt like Darby instead of the Main Line. I couldn't stop feeling like I had an obligation that I really wanted to fulfill.
I was gonna ask my cousin what her and her friends were doing afterward, but instead, I made a timely exit before losing any possible shred of charm, and called Gen. Well- turns out her grandparents' hot water heater broke, and the guys never came to fix it. So, I went home (like 45 minute drive back toward the city)- got the silver necklace I bought for her- and went on a Walgreens/CVS spree at 10 pm to find space heaters or heating blankets for her and her grandparents (and she wanted wet wipes!). Well, I got frustrated at the first two stores and bought two ridiculously priced heating pads. BUT ALAS! I forgot there was a Walgreens on the way to her house. So... Closer to her house, I stopped at a Walgreens and BING! SPACE HEATERS!!! (for a nominal fee of 75 bucks, but...in this case, who's counting anymore?)
So....
I showed up at their place with a space heater, and two ridiculously small heating pads (i thought they were bigger- but no one was interested anyway). They totally appreciated the space heater, and when her grandparents went to bed, Genevieve and I laid on the couch and watched horror movies. We made out a lot, but no actual sex was involved. We both felt like we were 16 again, and it was great- and I actually think maybe there is something there after all.
The space heater is staying, and I refuse to spill to them what I paid for it- sometimes, ya gotta feel like ya did your deed, you know? But, the heating pads were ridiculously expensive, and they are unused. I still have the receipt, so I'm hoping CVS will take them back. After all, I did end up spending a total of like 180 bucks. Hopefully CVS will take them back.

What photos are you talking about?
The CDs are really good, the one of your band did not work on my DVD player so I can only listen to it on my computer, but I have listened to the other one a lot because it works on all my CD players.
Sounds like a fun weekend, I hope the show goes good.
