re: disillusioned
read an interesting article in bust magazine the other day:
page 2
page 3
page 4
page 5
page 6
not really all too flattering for SG and its head honchos.
but, i guess there are 2 sides to ever story...
i also read about the SG trial concerning the break in by some goofball named chris grant. i read (and at times skimmed) the 500+ pages of testimony. it blows my mind that SG had to waste that much time in what was a pretty clear cut case in my opinion. some idiot was caught with his hand in the cookie jar (i mean how much more evidence did you need) and it took tens of thousands of dollars to slap his hand? well, i guess they didn't help their cause by suing the wrong guy the first time around...
the one thing i don't understand about cgrant was why he bothered to break in, in the first place? from what i read, it sounded like he was a pretty smart guy (at least when it came to programming). if his intention was to be a competitor, he should have just created a similar content management system and not broke into SG. there is nothing on this site that, given a bit of time, would be impossible to reproduce. well... except for the pictures of the lovely ladies.
