Im reading the DaVinci Code. Going along, Im about half way through, I realize that I have heard this all before.
My last college class was women in religion. I think the professor read the book over the summer and decided to teach a class on in. I feel a bit ripped. I should have just spent $20 on the book and kept the rest of the money.
Actually she was the most amazing teacher I have ever had. Perhaps teacher isnt the appropriate word here. She had here own opinions and was not interested in yours. However, she was the best orator I have ever witnessed. A bit intimidating, but I guess thats the point. I didnt quite know how to feel about her, because it was more like going church than to class. But listening to her lecture was really amazing. On second thought, I think I would have paid the money just to watch her talk.

As for today, Its first Friday and Im trying to muster up the motivation to drive two hours to Raleigh. I need to go and try to meet people. I want to apply for the emerging artist in residency position. I know once Im there I will have a great time, its just the drive that kills me. I need to get out of Podunk. I need the city.
