I love ski ball. Its stupid I know, but I can spend so much money just throwing that little ball up that ramp. And for what? Tickets for things I would never want under sane and normal circumstances. Things that I would pay for 10 times over by the time I would collect up enough tickets to buy the stuff. Yet, there is something to it. Like you find that place, that Zen, where its just you and your mini bowling lane.
Is ski ball considered a sport? Kinda like how billiards or fishing is a sport? If its a sport, then it should be an Olympic sport. If it were an Olympic sport then it really couldnt be considered a waste of time anymore. I could just say I was training. Kind of legitimize the whole thing, you know. Then when you walk up to the counter to cash in those tickets you wouldnt have a dusty green teddy bear staring back at you that was made in china sometime during the Ming dynasty. There, instead, would sit your medal.

for reading i'm pushing thorstein veblen's 'the theory of the leisure class', and hammett and mary shelley and arnon grunberg.
arnon grunberg is still alive or he was a couple of days ago when he came in to get some food for the people at his place . there's a new baby in his life. i've been reading at his 'phantom pain'. beth, my wife, read a little of it and thought it was funny... she ain't so easily amused.. love.quin.
making money from art may never happen. fuck it.
