Well hello guys and gals...
Some people have been expressing intrest/kind words toward a few of my images. So I figured I would post them along with a the story behind them. Mostly just for grins... but hey if you like, or dislike anything you see just let me know. Feedback is a good thing ! ! !
The Green River
Canyonlands National Park, Utah
I miss this place so much, and I have only been there one time. I can not wait until I get to go back, and re-live the experience.
This photograph was taken withen 50yds of a well visited overlook in Canyonland's northern branch. for this particular shot, I was no more than 4ft away from the edge of the canyon. (can be tricky on a windy day as I found out earlyer on my trip) I was using a Toyo-View full Monorail 4x5 camera, and fujichrome Velvia 50 (4"x5") This is my favorite image from my landscape collection. And allthough I try to remove my personal feelings from enjoying an image beyond its merit. Its impossible for me to do with this because of the profound, wonderful experience I had in SE Utah in the Spring of 2006. It was spring break, true enough. But I was on a mission that turned out to be one of self discovery, and as such was one I could only make alone. (as I did)
Anyway, I must sleep for now so I hope that you (whomever) may find this image appealing in some way, and that you might of gained some insight by reading the above.
Let me know
Ryan G.
