Today I will turn our humble apartment into a Christmas wonderland. As soon as I finish my 3rd cup of coffee I'm off to the farmers market to get me more cider and donuts and check out the trees and wreaths. I'd love a tree, but I think a wreath is more practical since there's nowhere to put a tree.
I'm so happy I'm not going anywhere this Christmas--no family, no airports, no buses. Just relaxing in the home with a full two weeks of no work. Woo-hoo!
I should probably get the punch bowl out today as well. I'll need it for the party at work--we have Charles Dickens's punch recipie, in a manuscript copy he made for a friend. I'll post a scan of it here soon. Like most Victorian punch recipies I've seen, it's just wine fortified with brandy. Can't beat that for Christmas cheer.

I am going to attempt some pictures tomorrow.
I have not been paying enough attention to my our new camera and it's handy features. Besides, I will probably be admitted soon and will not be able to take such artistic pictures in the hospital. I could try it would make for a nice setting. HAHA! I am sure gonna miss my mister when I am there.
The Charles Dicken's punch sounds yummy! I have not had a drink in many months. I may have to make an exception this holiday.
