Yow. It's been a while.

Now that August has hit, things are suddenly very calm around the library. Just a few hard core researchers, and even they don't stay all day.

I've been reading some excellent books about Eastern Europe--I'm midway through a novel by Arthur Schnitzler that's really good. I've been watching old German silent films--The Golem, Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, etc. It's going to be an excellent trip.

I'll post a full reading list sometime soon.
