I've got the day off and, other than cleaning the cat litter (which is such a joy to do and I know my cats secretly delight in my cleaning up their offal) my day is free.
I love watching my cats. I've two: Amber and Fluffy (formerly Psycho as she is missing a few marbles). I've finally trained them to sit before I feed them. Amber is a screaming when it comes to food and meows loudly until it is in the bowl. Getting her to sit seems to calm her down as now she realizes there's no food until she's got her butt all the way on the floor. She tries the whole "I'm halfway down" thing but I'm not buying that. Fluffy on the other hand, well, it takes her about half a minute to remember what she's supposed to do. She'll turn in circles, rub on anything nearby and look up at me to solve her dilema. She knows she's supposed to do something but can't quite remember what it is. Eventually the marbles finish rolling around and she sits with a plaintive meow. Cats are great.
