It happened again!
Imagine the following conversation:
"Friday I'm going to a concert."
"Oh, what concert is it?"
"Steven Wilson"
"Steven who?"
Same thing happened a few months ago with Archive. I talk to a lot of people and NOBODY knows any of the acts I'm going to see. The havent't even heard of them. Nothing. But then the miracle: The concert starts and the venue is packed with people. And they are not there accidentally either. So there is hope, great art has still it's devotees, even though I have no idea where they are in 'real life'.
Mr. Wilson and his band by the way were brilliant yesterday. His music delivered by great musicians in an entertaining show. I'd seen him a few years ago with Porcupine Tree and he seemed a little detached then. Yesterday he was acually quite chatty. So everybody who wants his Rock a bit more demanding definitely needs to check him out.
Oh, and did I mention Archive earlier? Half a year after they have been here I could still be raving on about their gig...
