So I have these friends who just got married yesterday, and they left for their honeymoon, so another friend of mine is housesitting for them while they're gone. I was over there tonight watching the Monday Night game after work, and I hadn't seen their dog Sofie since the 4th of July. Damn, that dog is awesome! She's a cross between a German Shepherd and something else, and she's still a puppy, but she's nearly full grown and hyperactive as hell. She had this pair of underpants that got destroyed by the end of the night, after she had run around with them around her neck for about thirty minutes. I still smelled like coffee shop, too, so I was mauled a couple of times, but I like tough love from dogs. I give as well as I receive. Needless to say, she drew more attnetion than the game, although I was saddened by Green Bay's loss.
I think one of the recommendation letter-writers I e-mailed for my grad school applications is actually on sabbatical right now, so I'm going to have to make an adjustment before long. My applications to Syracuse and American are getting done slowly but surely. I touched up my writing sample as much as I plan to, and I have two of my statements written. I just have to complete the electronic applications online and submit everything in their respective packages. The prospect of grad school scares me, not just as a challenge but also as another financial burden, but I'll get through it. I realized as I was touching up my writing sample (part of my thesis on Lord of the Rings from senior year) how much I love doing that sort of thing. I added a whole new section to it as elaboration on a point, and surprised myself with what I wrote. I just hope the schools see it the same way I do.
So when the hell are you going to buy the Wolf Parade CD??? I'm not lying to you guys. This thing is incredible! Just listen to "Shine A Light" and "I'll Believe In Anything." 'Nuff said.

Thanks for the virtual sweetness! I just heard from the insurance company this morning about my jeep...and they are considering it a total loss. That bites! I want to keep it, and have it repaired. But this also depends on how much money they give me. I'm pretty upset about it... i feel so childish getting upset over a jeep, ya know? They are really trying to screw me over. But thats okay, they will receive their monetary kharma very soon with my medical concerns.
Take care!
