My recording session on Sunday went swimmingly, and I was told that it was mentioned in the Tuesday 9/7 bit of Neil Gaiman's blog. Go visit. It's fun AND informative! All of Sunday was a delight, actually.
The Siouxsie show in New York on Monday was simply amazing. Budgie and the Kodo drummer, along with expert guitar and keyboard players were in top form. Many Creatures songs, naturally (plus unexpected treats like "Right Now"), and some lovely Banshees surprises...a very inspired set. Siouxsie herself looked and sounded fabulous. I'd put some of my pics up, but I fear that she'd hunt me down and stomp on me if she ever found out...so just take my word for it.
And also take my word on the fact that - audience wise - it was the gayest concert I've ever been to. Ever. Gay, gay, gay. Gayer than the Pet Shop Boys & Erasure combined. Did someone say "Diva"?
I was back to work on Wednesday, but not really. Faith & The Muse played, as did MonoChrome, a fantastic new band made up of members from cut rate box & Claire Voyant. Plus, I had a great guest dj working with me...John Koviak, who spins at Bar Sinister in LA. Some of you ber-gothlings may remember him from his sumptuous photo spreads in Propaganda magazine.
I've been working out the kinks with OSX, and things seem to be wonderful. Thursday is "Loading New Music Recording & Editing Software Day". If you don't hear from me again, it means I've killed myself.
Otherwise, things are pretty damn fine. So, I sign off...but not before tossing this your way...

She doesn't know anything about this site and gets terribly freaked out when she knows I talk to my friends about her... when you mentioned the car race I thought I was gonna panic! All is well, I side-stepped the few times she's brought it up since.
You are right, she does ROCK and she is really cool and very much fun, but as always there are snags that have caused uncertainty and doubt. I'm just moving slow and learning more, getting comfortable with her, etc...
We'll see.
By the by, she's had nothing but good things to say about you and dancing to whatever you play. I think your Wednesday and Saturday nights play a very big part causing her happiness throughout the week. (She was also at the NY show, although I'm not sure which night).

Thats awesome about the Gaiman blog; he's been a favorite of mine for a very long time. Your new project sounds really interesting, I can't wait until you are finished.
Still need any bagpiping on the cd?
We'll have a drink in your honor tomorrow night, since you won't be able to spin for our housewarming.
