The construction outside my house has recently reached a new fevered pitch, interrupting my normally nocturnal lifestyle by waking me up too early in the day. A big thank you to the rain gods for intervening and filling last night with vibrant delicacy. And for halting any thoughts of hammers on metal and chainsaws today.
Time to get to work...so much around me seems to be in disarray, and diving headfirst into the mess appears to be the only way to make some sense of what little discipline and inspiration I can muster from the fractalized chaos. My surroundings are like some daunting jigsaw puzzle...I need to put the pieces together before I can move on to what I really want and need to be doing...working on music. so, what has it been like w/ the convention all about? i heard a report that was talking about how little extra commerce the dnc is generating, so i wondered if this spilled over to traffic, etc. as well. have you been able to attend (if you would even want to)?
