The space was double booked on the first night, so there was a party in the middle of the afternoon, with a buffet set up in front of my art! The people were great, so it was weirdly fun.
This was the first painting that sold.
Ah, the buffet! So beautiful.
The next day I added thes three paintings, to fill in the room left by paintings that sold the day before.
These shirts sat in my store for 16 months, throughout the pandemic, unsold, and lonely. I post this picture on instagram, and I get a bunch of messages asking if they're in my store! I was so angry I thought I was going to explode! THEY WERE IN MY STORE FOR OVER A YEAR!!
Well, Saturday night didn't happen. There was a thunder storm at 4 that broke the bar's water main! This table is blocking the bathrooms and their unusable toilets.
So, I broke down my show (this pic is from the first day) and put everything in my car and went home, unloaded it all, and went to my favorite bar and relaxed.
OMINOUS OMEN! This "wet floor" sign was next to the table I set up to sell prints. It was there when I got to the bar at 11, and moved some time between 4 and 8.
OMINOUS OMEN number 2. At the beginning of the show, I popped open a rare bottle of Dark Lord Russian stout, and no one drank it with me!
Anyway, my first post-pandemic show went well, despite all the problems. Thanks to the staff of Shamrocks for hosting me! You were all great, and I hope you're back to work quickly!
