Yesterday, while going through an old box of school papers I discovered a poem I wrote back in highschool. Gave a quick look over and decided to write it in my new poetry notebook just for the memories. I mean it was probably my 2nd piece I had ever written, so it was amatuer crap, but it was MY amatuer crap.
Upon that discovery I decided to see if I could another particular piece I remember writing in highschool, but could not find it
In the process of looking for I decided to go through some of the stuff under my bed. I found a yearbook I never knew I had, and a school publication that I hold as a point of pride that I was published in but looking back feel ashamed of the work I submited. Every good artist knows never put a girlfriends/boyfriends name in the work, but I did it anyway. Well I look back at that period of time and remember just how strong first love was even if it made me do stupid things for sexual favors.
In other news the show on sunday at the theater was overall not a bad expirience. Shirley Jones, Bill Hayes, and Dom Deluise were all there to entertain the people, initially it was supposed to be Don Knots instead of Dom, but we all know what happened to poor Mr. Knots. The highlight of the show for me was Dom's set, bless his heart when Im 72 I want to be as funny as he is.
Sidenote- Dom almost ran into the outdoor restrooms when he was driving to the stage entrance, and during the intermission an old man talked to me for about ten minutes while I coundnt walk away. His topics ranged from having to get knee surgery to how the government robs us all, and ends our conversation with his thoughts that no one should go to college, because "we all have the skills we need to start up our own businesses."

Our trip is, probably, mostly going to be helping fix up the wife's mom's house. Painting and such, they just got new walls up not too long ago. We are also going to visit people we haven't seen in awhile and see New Orleans for the first time since the hurricane. It should be fun, I'm just not sure if it's going to be a vacation or a busy trip.
As for the zombie movies, you misunderstood me. I don't think I can ever see too many zombie movies. There's just not enough decent zombie movies.
