How funny...
Last week I was nominated and voted in as the new owner of Suicide Guitars, which is an honor for me.
Two days later, my account expired!
If you're on a gift account, you get no warning. I'd even tried some time back to find out just how much time I had left, but couldn't get any info on it, so I was caught flat-footed. Somewhat embarrassing, to say the least...
I take it as a compliment that various people have kept me here on SG for the past few years. I have no money, no income to speak of, but there are those who apparently appreciate my contribution enough to plunk down duckets to keep me around.
Many thanks, I'll endeavor to present the inane details of my day-to-day life in an entertaining manner...
Toward that end, here's what I've been doing since my last post:
Don't do this:
Don't do this, either:
Wax paper comes in handy for this stuff:
I ran out of Bondo, so I had to use JB Weld to fill in this bit:
I'm out of primer, so I'll use this leftover flat black as the base coat, then finish with a couple coats of semi-gloss:

I have no talent whatsoever in the areas where you excel, I admire talent when I see it. Your amps are great, as someone who grew up with tubes and then transitioned into transistors. It is good to see old school people out there, there was an engineer I used to work with that loved his music. He did acoustic studies on his room and then worked out what it would take for the optimal speaker placement. Then he went and built his own amp with tubes from scratch, and this was in the early 80's, he said digital could never compare.
