I just came from my Action Man's house. He called me earlier and said there was something odd about his bike, that it looked like somebody had done something to his frame. I drove over and found this:
It appears to have been done with a Sawzall, which would only take a few seconds with a new blade.
If anything, I'm madder than he is. I put a hell of a lot of work into this bike, and some asshole fuckface cut his frame. I feel violated. My jaw hurts from clenching it and grinding my teeth.
Action Man has an idea who might've done the deed, but no proof. It's been this way for some time, probably a month or so. He told me a few weeks ago that the handling was off, but I thought it was because his rear shocks had lost their air.
The good news is that my friend isn't dead.
More good news is that this can be fixed.
The bad news is that we're going to have to strip this bike completely down to the frame and inspect every single component to make sure nothing else has been fucked with. As soon as I finish my bike, his bike is coming apart.

The Listerine thing was just my clumsiness, more than anything else.
