Had a pretty good weekend so far. went home to visit the folks for my dad's birthday, so had a great time driving there and back (nearly stacked it a couple of times, so that was interesting)

went for a quick walk around one of the places I used to play when I was a kid - used to be this huge, boat-shaped rock on the top of a hill, but now it's completely overgrown - to the point where I can barely see the rock. It's a bit of a shock when something that's been in your memory for so long changes out of all recognition. It was very weird. but then again, I worked out that it's been about 22 years since I've actually been up there, so I should have expected some change...

Spent most of today stuck in front of the computer playing some stupidly addictive game (check out the Mac Users group for more info on that one), but now I've finished it I'm going to do something a bit more useful.

Off to the UGC to see The Village in an hour - hopefully it'll be good... I've been looking forward to this one for a while.

Oh, and I've finally booked my holiday - I fly out to Boston on the 2nd of September, and fly back on the 14th. What happens between those dates is anyone's guess...
