I've spent the last couple of hours listening to Daft Punk's Random Access Memories on Spotify (http://t.co/OUvPQC6QvI) and reading about the 50 hair styles that have shaped Beckham's career (http://uk.askmen.com/fashion/galleries/david-beckham-hair-styles.html).

One of these was a waste of time.

(Hint: it wasn't the Becks article, obvs)

I found myself a little disappointed with the new Daft Punk album I must admit. Get Lucky is just SO good that I guess I expected more.... I do, however, need to give it another listen. Maybe it's a grower??

In the mean time, I will listen to Get Lucky some more. Maybe on repeat.

smile

reuben:

Yessss exactly!!!
Although, it was pointed out to me this morning that Paul Williams who features on track 7, Touch, is the guy behind the Bugsy Malone soundtrack/score/lyrics/vocals etc. Infinitely impressed.
Also not sure how I didn't IMMEDIATELY notice that now it's been pointed out. You cannot mistake that voice!!!

Nah, not at all... wouldn't dream of suggesting that! wink Ahh I know how that feels, think I've been able to go out a grand total of about six times this year. Times is hard! *sigh* At least our bladders will benefit! Also, my friends beat you to giving me a hangover tongue They've started hitting a little harder lately... Must be getting old.

Actually I've tried to wean myself off coffee a little bit, sadly... Seem to have just transferred to tea though, easily go through 3-4 cups a day, haha. (And I've just discovered it has just as much caffeine as coffee, so much for that bright idea!)

sorchablue:

What an excellent movie combo, and frankly everyone needs a little junk food night every now and then! haha! I get the guilt, though, I really do. ^_~ Hope you have a good week.

I'm procrastinating.. (again)

I've not got much in the way of news, I just fancied updating this a bit..

Like an absolute tool, I completely forgot about the UK Shootfest and on Friday night, spent 5 hours driving up from Swindon to Liverpool instead of staying down south ready to go to London on the Saturday. Subsequently, I missed out! But from Twitter...

that was a massive fail re the weekend... BUT i am pushing for a northern meet SOON... Nanci is up here too and Chibbi

guinness_:

Aha, thanks Jess - that makes me feel a whole lot better! tongue

Yeah, it's brilliant - especially as the sun comes over in the late afternoon, really floods the living room. I keep meaning to organise bits and bobs but never get the time - too busy driving all over the bloody country!

Ooh, a northern meet would be brilliant Eva smile

Where the hell is this year going?!

Honestly, it seems like just a few days ago I was on here posting about Christmas and the New Year. I guess things have been pretty hectic.

It looks like I've missed some incredible sets, so if there's any in particular from the past couple of months you guys think I should go and check out...

Ah hello sweet. Yeah it's been a ridiculous couple of months - I can't even fathom how the hell we're almost in March already!

Ooh, thanks - I caught Radeo & Maisie's, via Twitter (of course), but I'll definitely be checking out the others. (You can never spend enough time on here - I'm seriously neglecting my membership, 'cause I'm a fool.)

How's the painting/sketching/general arty awesomeness going?

changeling_:

I know, is the whole time speeding up thing a symptom of growing up or something? Cause I don't want it!

Ahh yeah, I forgot you were a self-confessed twitter addict, aha. I've sort of rediscovered it lately after getting bored of Facebook, I'll give you a follow smile True... But it can be a major time-sink when you're procrastinating, which I do far too much!

It's going pretty swell, thanks - I got it featured on the SG instagram, so that was pretty cool. Treated myself to a bunch of new materials at christmas so most of my free time is spent acting like a little kid playing in art class, it's brilliant biggrin

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year & all that jazz! I hope everyone's holiday season was lovely.

I had a great time over the holidays, spent lots of it with family and friends, overindulged and generally lived the high life!

I'm not really one for the whole 'new year, new me' stuff, however there is something about this time of year that prompts one to look at what they have achieved and what has yet to be achieved.

They say the ambitious are never truly satisfied - something I can relate to wholeheartedly - but I think it depends what your ambitions are. Until very recently, my ambitions were simple: travel, learn as much as I can about everything and spend as much time as possible having fun with great people. Whilst these are still things that I'll be striving to accomplish, I've set myself a more specific goal - something which annoyingly, I can't really go into detail about - something that will completely change my life if it comes off.

In the meantime, I'll be carrying on basically the same as always. Travelling up and down the country for work - hopefully a little less often than before Christmas.

A great thing about this time of year is that almost everyone is thinking about what the coming year has to offer and as a result, it's the perfect time to make plans. After the disappointment of not getting Glastonbury tickets (something I'll try to rectify in the resales) my attention turned towards holiday plans. I've got bored of the whole 'lads on tour' experience - drinking inordinate amounts of watered down spirits in a chav infested 18-30s resort doesn't have the same appeal as it used to. With that in mind I decided to do something much more enriching; I'm going to New York!

The details are yet to be finalised; as yet I only know it'll be May/June, I'm going with a few friends, one of which will be celebrating their 21st birthday during the trip which will be brilliant. The next 5/6 months are going to be spent planning/getting ridiculously excited...
