I remember hearing one time, that even though it is tought that when we percieve the light of something that is 12 billion light years way, then it is light from the past, as it takes so long to reach our eyes, that instead some of the light we are percieving is much more immediate than that. I am going to have to look that up again.

I like the havoc that comes through in your comments. Especially the one with the matresses. I am seriously thinking that has Winfly potential all over it. Moles do suck and while they do have their place, it still bugs the snot out of me. I can see it if there really was some sort of problem down here that needed to be hammered out, but their is no issue here, and that is the reality of it. Argh!
Accident...accident. I'm still thinking he needs to get trapped in to one of our milvans....happens from time to time. Go up there alone and in the snow, the wind kicks up, and the doors shut and you get locked in. Cryogenics.

As to expectations, no, I definitely do not have them of him. My ex-husband was kind enough to lure me in and once we were moved in together, nice things stopped. After 9 years of marriage he still never did figure out my favorite flowers. **shrug**

Complained about the smell of Lillies? Indeed. Shame on her for that one on all counts. Though I have a theory that appreciation is a skill that not every one has.
It is the little things. I also have to learn to allow people to do things as well. I love to surprise people, and to do things for them. It makes me incredibly happy, but I never want people to ever feel like they have to do anything that I can and normally would do myself. I suspect that N will teach me a bit more about that.
The worst gift I ever received was from a boyfriend who gave me a plastic cockroach for my birthday, and a coffee mug for valentines day. Okay, not the kind of stuff a normal girl would want, and my friends were not amused, but at least he tried. That is what counts.

I would have been devesated to have run over the turtle. I have issues with people who hunt. Baiting bears and the likes. Just frustrates me to no end. I could kill an animal if I was only in mortal danger, and the chances of that ever really happening are slim to none. Humans on the other hand, are a completely different story. I agree with you whole heartedly, and I have no issue ever defending co-workers, family or friends if the occassion calls for it.
It is nice that your company seems to appreciate you as they do. That seems so very rare these days. I am constantly beating my head against the wall here. People we have gotten rid of, that are doing a rotten job, are always getting promoted and a raise. Today I found out some interesting information, it reads more like a horror story really and it is all I can do not to start beating upper management. Sigh.
Anyway, I am all about the flame thrower and locking the fire exits.

My neighbor returned home from deployment in Iraq yesterday. How surreal to work for a company that has employees deployed in combat conditions and not give them much thought, but to see my neighbors kids playing along the street really drives the point home that we are all really lucky in one way or another.

As to your friend, that sucks that he is having such a difficult time. I have discovered that anything to do with military and MVD, well they are an evil vortex, if one should meet with the other. I have done my time trying desperately to work out various problems between the two. **shudder**
Entertaining clients? Hum. Here is to hoping they are entertaining all on their own accord....easily amused would be good, I'm sure.

This war has been really interesting in the sense that we've been really -connected- to it... I've IRC'd with soldiers in iraq that I knew, which is something that would have been unheard of a mere 50 years ago. It's even stranger reading the blogs of iraqi's... what an age we live in.
