-So I finally got the motivation to update...thanks to India...I've been meaning to do it for a while, but as you can see from my massive friends list.... I didn't really think anyone would notice..
...So my life goes something like this...I am a full-time artist, I have been apprenticing with a local silversmith for a little over a year now. we make various jewelry and decorative art peices (check out my pics folder). Thats my 9-5 but i also have a glassblowing studio at my house that I work in once the sun goes down. I live in the desert so I try to either work early morning or late night. I have been a glass artist for 2 and a half years.(see more in pics folder)
I have 4 great passions in life > Music
Art
Billiards
Books
I have been obsessed with music since I was very young...I've played guitar for 12 years and I also sing. I've played numerous instruments but the guitar was the most challenging and the only one I could sing and play at the same time. I'm not in a band...I prefer writing for my own personal satisfaction as opposed to exhibiting it.
I find myself listening to albums over and over until some how I understand them...a good example of this would be
THe MARS VOLTA : Frances the Mute...the day I bought this album I listened to it straight for like 2 weeks until it made complete sense. Its the most innovative record this century...I know thats not saying much since we're only 5 years into this century..but its a profound statement none the less. I love to watch the growth in music.... people breaking away from standards and setting new ones unconsciously...metamorphosis.
Art is everywhere in almost everything...and also to big a subject for me to try and babble about...maybe some other time
Billiards however shouldn't take long at all.....For some reason or another pool halls have always felt like home to me. I think maybe in a past life I played alot of pool because I have a good eye for the geometry in pool there's something very instinctual about it.
I love to read...I am currently reading 6 different books:
Shogun (james clavell)
The marabou stork nightmares (Irving Welsh)
Atlas shrugged(Ayn Rand)
one of the many Star wars books(tales
of bounty hunters) yes I'm a nerd i know
Grendel (John Gardner)
The education of a poker player(Herbert O Yardley)
and Hustler Days (R.A.Dyer)
I'll read one until I get to a slow part, and start something else...eventually i'll get curious and pick it back up..it's kind of a weird rotation but it works. I am also a comic book collector when ever I have spare $.
Thats about it... MOre than you ever wanted to know about an anonymous person floating in cyberspace
