It's been a bit since my last update, but not much has changed around here. The weather is killing me with this heat though. 90 has been the low for the past 2 weeks and it has left me drained. All I want to do is sleep lately because it has been so hot. I don't have much to add so I thought i'd share an old poem I wrote called Only An Option.

Wander around and see these lights, no they don't shine for you.
Walk right down a busy road where no one has a clue.
You feel betrayed, trampled over, these scars will never fade.
You think they'll heal and disappear but they just grow a darker shade.

Memories burned into your mind like a cigarette pushed to skin.
Inside you scream to be set free but no one's here within.
Your voice goes unanswered, your questions void again.

Why are you only an option to those you crave most from around?
Why must they crush your hollow dreams and drag them to the ground?
Don't ask me this for I don't know. I ask myself the same.
Just to be a second thought to them is it worth all of this pain?

The answer should be clear, just walk away and leave.
But when your heart has drawn them near without them nothing you achieve.
So the vicious cycle starts again while tears start pouring down your cheek.
Recognition, conversation, mindless chatter's all you seek.
But in the village you've composed you're growing ever weak.

Turmoil, struggle, disappointment filling up your life.
neglect creating degradation that cuts deeper than any knife.
Only an option is what you are and that is what you stay.
For giving all your passion, strength, and love again you have to pay.

You wish you could grow cold. You wish you couldn't feel a thing.
For that would be much easier than all the chaos that they bring.
