Today my father got a letter from the veteran's hospital. In this letter it stated that during one of his operations last year one of the medications they gave him some how held a new strain of bacteria that could possible kill him. He has been complaining to the veteran hospital for the past 8 months about his temp that doesn't go below 95 degrees and spikes at 101.5, severe cough, and numerous other things. Every time they brought it up they literally said it was all in his head and that they didn't need to run any tests because they thought he was just faking it. Now they finally linked his problems and the meds, but the bitch of it all is they said the earliest he's allowed to come on to see a doctor is the end of july or august. I mean what the fuck!! I'm tired of them treating him like a second class citizen. He fought for his country and now he has to fight just to see a doctor for something they fucked up. Once again the american government has left me disappointed and utterly enraged. I'm sick of watch my father being slowly killed by these imbecile doctors. I'm tired of having to watch him waste away more and more each day. No son should have to watch their father slowly and painfully die especially when he's only 45 fucking years old. I mean for god sakes it took him 15 years to get surgery on his shattered knee. Now he's been through kidney failure over 6 times, liver failure twice, heart failure, and now they are talking about just amputating his hand instead of doing the corrective surgery again that they messed up the first time. No man should have to struggle for his life like he has had to.
