I was asked today to add a stub out for water supply and drain to the ongoing project building, simply to use the space above the apartment that is the current project as a possible future apartment.
The building is an old granary from the 1830's, and that space is currently just used for the owners storage.
This makes sense, it would be much easier to do now than when the dry wall is up and finished.
I'm about four, almost five hours in to that and maybe forty minutes from being able to turn the water back on for the office up front.
I've got a tin ceiling framed out with 2x8's under a different tin ceiling framed with 2x12's sitting under 2x6 joists running cross, with those crossed by furring strips filled with plaster and the 4/4 floor sitting toe nailed on that with cut nails. The 2x12 layer has been reinforced with 6" I beams stacked on top of each other every third joist from what I can tell.
But this will have to wait for tonight ; I just got called from one of my renters and they've broken the pvc pipe in their basement coming from the well head while trying to change their water filter.
At least I already had the plumbing boxes out. 😂
Have a great day out there. It's going to be another long one. I wouldn't change a thing though, I keep telling myself at least I'm not bored. 😜
