I'm getting ready to start a new position at my place of employment. It is a move up to a slightly higher management spot, and a step in a positive direction.
Downside, it's overnight. I've told myself I would never do it again, but there's potentially more money involved.
Also, I have made plenty of work friends since I started. But now, I'm their manager. I've already experienced the bullshit around rumors and gossip. I don't care about that, and I want nothing to do with it. So, I just went thru and deleted every person I met thru this job from my Facebook friends list. Unfortunately, the only people I know in the area are ones that I work with.
Has anyone else experienced this dilemma? Anyone have thoughts?
